Dr. Michael C. Biddulph completed a BS in Zoology at Brigham Young University, where he graduated as valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude. He continued on to complete medical school at the University of Utah.  Following graduation, Dr Biddulph completed a residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Diagnostic Radiology and a teaching appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, AZ as a Senior Associate Consultant in Radiology.  He has practiced with Medical Imaging Associates since 2000 and specializes in General Radiology and Breast Imaging.

Dr. Biddulph currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Dr. Dirk E. Bigler attended BYU and received his undergraduate degree from University of Utah. He studied medicine at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri and completed an internship and residency at the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Washington. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Digital Imaging in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Bigler joined Medical Imaging Associates in 2011.
Dr. Neal J. Clinger joined Medical Imaging Associates in July 2008. Dr. Clinger is a native Idahoan and was born in Idaho Falls, ID. He graduated from Shelley High School and began his college education at Brigham Young University. After graduating with his bachelor’s degree in microbiology, he went on to study medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Clinger completed an internship at the Tucson Hospital Medical Education Program and residency at the University of Arizona. He also completed a teaching appointment in Diagnostic Radiology and a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the University of Arizona. Dr. Clinger is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Society of Neuroradiology, Society of Interventional Radiology and American Society of Head and Neck Radiology.

Dr. James P. Edlin completed a Bachelors of Science at Manakato State University.  He received his doctorate from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine.  Dr. Edlin then went on to complete a residency at the University of Iowa in Nuclear Medicine and a residency at the Bridgeport Hospital of Bridgeport, CT in Diagnostic Radiology.  Dr. Edlin also completed a fellowship in Nuclear Medicine at the Yale University Hospital in New Haven, CT.  Dr. Edlin has dual board certifications in Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.  Dr. Edlin has practiced with Medical Imaging Associates since 2002 and specializes in Nuclear Medicine, General Radiology, and Breast Imaging.

Dr. Edlin currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Dr. David V. Hansen received his medical doctorate from the University of Utah. He completed a residency in family practice at the Scott Air Force Base in Illinois and a residency in diagnostic radiology at the Sacred Heart Medical Center in Washington. He served well as chief resident in both of his residencies. Dr. Hansen retired from the USAF as a Colonel 1 Nov 1998. He has served the Rexburg and surrounding medical community since 1998. Dr. Hansen joined Medical Imaging Associates in 2011.

Dr. Hansen currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Dr. Christopher O. Harker joins Medical Imaging Associates in July 2011 specializing in Neuroradiology. He received his bachelor’s degree at University of Utah in Human Development and Family Studies. Dr. Harker earned his medical doctorate from the University of Virginia and completed his residency at University of Utah in Radiology. Recently, Dr. Harker completed a fellowship in Neuroradiology.

Dr. James B. Harris graduated with highest honors from Ricks College and as an elected member to the Phi Kappa Phi honor society from Brigham Young University.  He finished his first fellowship at Duke University and continued on to receive his Medical Doctorate from University of Washington School of Medicine.  Dr. Harris completed an internship at LDS Hospital then returned to the University of Washington to complete a residency and second fellowship.   Upon completion, he was appointed as a Clinical Assistant Instructor of Radiology and Acting Instructor of Radiology at the University of Washington.  Dr. Harris joined Medical Imaging Associates in July 1997 practicing General Radiology and Body Imaging.
Dr. Justin A. Lamb attended BYU and graduated with his medical doctorate from Des Moines University in Iowa. He completed an internship at the University North Texas in Fort Worth, a residency in diagnostic radiology at John Peter Smith Health Network, and a fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Texas in Dallas. He has served the Rexburg and surrounding medical community since 2007. Dr. Lamb joined Medical Imaging Associates in 2011.
Dr. James P. Neeley graduated from Utah State University Magna Cum Laude in Electrical Engineering and went on to obtain his Medical Doctorate from University of Utah School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency at Washington University, Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology in St. Louis, MO. Dr. Neeley has been with Medical Imaging Associates since 1985 practicing General Radiology.

Dr. Richard M. Penney received his bachelor’s degree in biology from La Sierra University in Riverside, CA.  He completed his medical doctorate at Loma Linda University and internship in general surgery at Rush University Medical Center.  He did his residency in diagnostic radiology at the John H Stroger, Jr. Hospital in Chicago, IL and finished his fellowship at the Dotter Interventional Institute in Portland, OR.  Dr. Penney joined Medical Imaging Associates in 2010 specializing in Interventional Radiology.

Dr. J. Fritz Schmutz completed his BS in Biology from the University of Utah and later received his Medical Doctorate from the University of Utah Medical School.  After medical school he completed a rotational internship at the Swedish Hospital Medical Center in Seattle, WA.  He then went on to complete a residency in Radiology and a fellowship in Neuroradiology from the prestigious University of Washington.  Dr. Schmutz has practiced with Medical Imaging Associates since 1997 and specializes in Neuroradiology and Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Schmutz currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Dr. Steven D. Smith completed a BS in Microbiology at Brigham Young University. He earned his Medical Doctorate from the Uniformed Services University Medical School in Bethesda, MD.  He also completed an internship at the Oakland Naval Hospital and residency at the San Diego Naval Hospital.  Achieving the rank of Commander in the United States Navy, he served honorably for 17 years before leaving for private practice.  Dr. Smith has practiced with Medical Imaging Associates since 2001 and specializes in General Radiology and Breast Imaging.

Dr. Smith currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Dr. John J. Strobel grew up in Rexburg, Idaho. He received his Associates Degree at Ricks College and graduated with his Bachelors of Science and Medical Doctorate from Creighton University. While attending Creighton, he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. After completing his education, Dr. Strobel did residencies in Internal Medicine at Creighton University and Diagnostic Radiology at University of Nebraska. As a strong leader, Dr. Strobel served as Chief Resident during his residency at University of Nebraska. He has been affiliated with Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Dr. Strobel joined Medical Imaging Associates in January 1997 specializing in Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Strobel currently serves as the President of Medical Imaging Associates.

Dr. James W. Taylor completed degrees at Ricks College and Utah State University in Biology, he received his Doctorate from the University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He then completed an internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Sacred Heart Medical Center of Spokane, WA.  Taylor then went on to complete a fellowship in Neuroradiology with Inland Imaging Associates of Spokane, WA.  Medical Imaging Associates welcomed Dr. Taylor to the group in 2006.  Dr Taylor specializes in Neuroradiology and Interventional Radiology.

Dr. Taylor currently serves on the Executive Committee.

Dr. Peter L. Vance graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University and received his Medical Doctorate from Wake Forest University Bowman Grey School of Medicine.  Dr. Vance completed an internship at York Hospital in York, PA and a residency in Charlottesville, VA at the University of Virginia Hospitals.  He went on to complete a fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison training in Musculoskeletal Radiology.  Dr. Vance joined Medical Imaging Associates in July 2002 specializing in Musculoskeletal Radiology.

Dr. David R. Warden III completed his BS in Computer Science at Brigham Young University.  He then went on to complete his Medical Doctorate at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) School of Medicine.  Dr. Warden then completed an internship at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, and later completed his residency at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Radiology where he also served as Chief Resident.  Dr. Warden achieved the rank of Major with the United States Army and served honorably during Desert Storm and Desert Shield with the 82nd Airborne Division.  Dr. Warden has practiced with Medical Imaging Associates since 2001 and specializes in General Radiology and Breast Imaging as well as being a Certified Clinical Densitometrist.
Dr. Alan B. Wray studied premed at Brigham Young University.  After receiving his bachelor’s degree, Dr. Wray headed for Nebraska to attend Creighton University School of Medicine.  An internship at Maricopa General County Hospital in Phoenix, AZ and residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Creighton University School of Medicine shortly followed.  Then in 1986, Dr. Wray completed a fellowship at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic studying CT, Ultrasound, and Magnetic Resonance.  Dr. Wray is a member of the first and oldest radiology society in the US, the American Roentgen Ray Society, as well as the American College of Radiology.  Dr. Wray recently rejoined Medical Imaging Associates in 2008 specializing in diagnostic radiology.
